Nostalgia: I Want to Make a Soba-Eating Game (Hobby) — Part 4
Previously
While reminiscing about “うぃずゆーTOYBOX” and its “菜織のはいぱぁ う・ドォン,” I’m trying to make a similar game.
- Part 1: Kicked off the project and drafted specs
- Part 2: Built a web prototype that runs with rectangles only
- Part 3: Implemented images so it finally looks like a game
Basic rules:
- Clear by eating five bowls of soba within 60 seconds
- Soba comes in Regular, Large, and Extra Large; eating time and count differ
- Eating udon, ramen, or Napolitan costs time
- Hitting an enemy (male student) causes a brief stun

For now I figured I’d at least think through the character settings (also known as: things are getting busy and I can’t touch the code).

Protagonist, Kana-chan
“You came to a soba shop—how can you not eat soba?!”
With that spirit, she wolfs down soba.
Well, it’s probably less fattening than udon… maybe.

A male student wandering around the shop.
“Hey, order something already!”
To Kana-chan, who’s eating with single-minded focus, he’s an annoying enemy—unforgivable.

The soba shop manager.
Even carefully prepared orders meet the trash if he doesn’t approve…
“I told you it’s supposed to be soba!”
Is Kana-chan even paying for this?
Note: The images look rough because I over-compressed them.
