Camera Angles Were Trending on X, So I Tried Them Out

Saw some accounts on X posting angle illustrations for generative AI, so figured I’d try my own set.

The model probably doesn’t matter much, but for convenience (batch generation), I used Antigravity — basically Nano Banana Pro.

A note on terminology

The terms below are chosen to work as AI image generation prompts. They may differ from formal cinematography or photography vocabulary.

  • Bottom View → formally “Worm’s eye view”
  • Bust Up / Waist Up → Japanese anime/illustration terms. English equivalent: “Medium Close-Up” / “Medium Shot”
  • Over the Shoulder → technically a shot of the other person over someone’s shoulder in a dialogue scene
  • Fisheye → on its own this often doesn’t produce a strong effect. “dog nose,” “door scope,” or “peephole” tend to work better
  • Pan / Tracking → technically video camera movements. In stills they imply “a composition with a sense of motion”
